I think I am going to start writing about my current region instead of just being a random Joe...

I biked out to the beautiful Lake Whatcom this weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to do it, but I could have asked for less hills to climb to get there. When I finally got to the coast, it reminded me of long walks along Devil’s Lake in Michigan with Erika (minus the mountains). The lakeside mansions were jaw-dropping, as some were buried in the woods on a hill with the only opening being a view of the lake and the opposing hillsides.
OH: “It’s sad how out of shape people are these days. People are huffing and puffing after walking 150 ft.” - All I could think was, ‘try observing my hometown where only a handful of people try to stay in shape. At least a third of the population exercises here, and that is mind-blowing in my opinion.’
I took this shot of the Space Needle in Seattle while attending the 40th annual Bumbershoot starring Bob Dylan and the Decemberists. It was a neat event, and the first time I had ever seen Seattle.
I keep finding the nastiest spiders out here… I’m going to have nightmares…
